History of Reiki and Maki
Maki was born with abilities such as clairvoyance, intuitive insight into the near future, and healing sensitivity. Healing was always a natural part of her life.
However, in modern Japanese society, such mysterious abilities are often avoided, so she chose not to use them openly for many years.
After leaving Japan and becoming a German citizen, she received the Master Degree of Usui Reiki, a Reiki tradition founded in Kyoto, Japan, by Mikao Usui. She studied under Mizuho Nakagawa and also obtained the highest Teacher’s Degree.
Because Reiki can also be practiced remotely, she can help relieve the pain of others wherever they may be in the world.
Although she sometimes offers private sessions to friends and family, she believes her true mission is to reach and heal many people at once. By combining her abilities as a singer with her talent as a Reiki Master, she uses her singing voice as a channel for Reiki healing and spiritual connection.
Currently, she combines Katakamuna and Ryutai Moji — ancient Japanese sacred writings — with Reiki to create deeper and more powerful healing performances.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a healing method that originated in Japan.
The word “Rei” refers to the universal spirit, and “Ki” means energy.
In Reiki, the Reiki Master does not use their own energy.
Instead, the Reiki Master connects to the universe of the person receiving Reiki and acts simply as a channel or tuner. Through this connection, the energy that the person needs is received from their own universe and passed on to them.
Rather than “curing” illness, Reiki is better understood as helping to relieve pain, restore balance, and tune a person to the energy state they truly need or desire. This is the most accurate way to understand the experience of receiving Reiki.
